The Wareham Youth Soccer Club kicked off its season on Saturday, Sept. 12. The younger teams played each other at the start, and as the morning went on, the older players hit the pitch. A team of older boys closed out by facing Mashpee.
The players were excited to start playing again. For some, today was a new opportunity. Grace Pacheco, 10, scored her first ever goal in a game today. However, she carried herself as if she'd been there before.
When asked how it felt to score for the first time, she unequivocally said, "It felt good."
