Revolutionary War Muster Field Recognition Day

Help Wareham celebrate 250 years with a Revolutionary War Muster Field Recognition Day being held at the former Decas School field on September 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ceremony will begn at 1 p.m.
Muster Field was used by the Wareham Minutemen and Militia Companies to assemble and drill. Enjoy a militia encampment and demonstration of colonial life. Hear a file and drum corps play music of the time.
In 1975, a plaque was placed on a stone on the Decas School field to honor those who fought for Wareham 250 years ago. The plaque has been missing for several years and thanks to the Minutemen and Milita Companies, a new plaque will be installed to replace the missing plaque. The plaque cerremony begins at 1 p.m.
Open to the public.
Decas School field is located at 760 Main Street.
