WAREHAM – Douglas William Santos, Sr., 66, of West Wareham passed away at home on January 13, 2025. He was the husband of Carolyn Jean (Westgate) and the son of the late John Peter and Mary Louise (Barros) Santos.

He was born in Wareham and grew up in Marion and Waterbury, CT. He graduated from Old Rochester Regional High School, class of 1977 and lived most of his adult life in Wareham.

Mr. Santos worked as a cook at Tabor Academy for many years before retiring.

He enjoyed golfing and watching sporting events.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Carolyn Jean (Westgate) Santos; a son, Douglas W. Santos, Jr. of West Wareham; a daughter, Morgynne Racine Lantigua and her husband Jose of West Wareham; a brother, Michael J. Santos of Waterbury, CT; 2 sisters, Rita L. Munn and Mary J. Williams both of Waterbury, CT; a grandson, Gabriel Antonio Lantigua; many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late John P. Santos, Jr., Carol Ann (Santos) Reed and Coralynne Maia.

Visiting hours are from 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
