Stress release
Head to the Wareham Free Library for a free reiki session designed to help participants reduce stress and support overall well-being.
Reiki is a hands off healing technique designed to promote well-being and on Saturday, Oct. 11 beginning at 10:30 a.m. reiki master Brittany O’Leary will lead a 1.5 hour session at the library, 59 Marion Road.
The program is free but registration is required. Reserve a spot at warehamfreelibrary.org.
Sunday, Oct. 12
Investigate invasive plants
Hit the trails with the Wareham Land Trust to learn about the invasive plants harming the local ecosystem.
In a walk through the Redbrook Trail Network, Sunday, Oct. 12 from 10 to 11 a.m., land trust volunteer Justin Cifello will educate attendees on the invasive plants in the area, their harmful effects and how to identify them. The land trust asks attendees to bring water and dress appropriately for the weather.
Parking will be available at the Lyman Reserve Parking Lot at Head of the Bay Road and Red Brook Road. The event is free but registration is required. Visit warehamlandtrust.org to register.

Spooky stories
Are there ghouls among us?
Local paranormal explorer Tim Weisberg will be at the Wareham Free Library at 59 Marion Road Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m. to talk about the spooky locations across the SouthCoast. Weisberg, creator of radio program Spooky Southcoast, talks of ghosts, UFOs, cryptids, and the Bridgewater Triangle.
As a paranormal researcher, he has also written books, such as "Ghosts of the SouthCoast" and worked on television shows like "Ghost Asylum" and "Haunted Towns."
