A firefighter nearly fell through a roof in the afternoon of Friday, March 20 while battling a two-alarm house fire on Dusty Lane in Onset.
There were no people inside the home during the fire. Firefighters worked to save a dog who was still inside the home. At this time there is no more information on the dog.
While trying to cut a hole in the roof to ventilate the heat and smoke, the hole in the roof broke under him and he fell through. The firefighter was uninjured.
The fire department was not available for comment.
