Update: Car crashes into mobile home residence
A vehicle crashed into a mobile home residence located at 178 Pine View Terrace in the Great Hill Estates trailer park morning of Wednesday, March 18.
The Wareham police, fire and emergency medical services all responded to the call.
Assistant Chief Mark Rodgers of the Wareham fire department said they were notified of the crash at around 9 a.m. and on arrival found two residents and one driver trapped in the wreckage.
Emergency services successfully removed the driver who was then transported to a local hospital. The extent of the driver’s injuries are currently unknown.
The residents trapped inside the mobile home were also successfully removed and refused medical treatment.
“It's very unfortunate and I'm glad nobody was injured in this accident because somebody could have been really hurt in that,” Rogers said.
Arrangements at the Red Cross were made for the two residents since they would not be able to stay the night in their home.
Rogers was unsure what caused the crash exactly saying that the driver may have been making a turn and lost control.
“I'm assuming that she was coming down Holiday [Drive] and trying to make a turn but I am not quite sure which way she was going,” Rogers said.
