Eleanor T. Willett, 86
FALL RIVER – Eleanor T. Willett, 86, of Fall River, formerly of Wareham, died Sunday, July 13, 2025 unexpectedly as she was a victim of the Gabriel House fire in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Ronald L. Willett.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Bernadette (Murphy) Doucette. Eleanor graduated from St. Gregory's High School in Dorchester. She moved to Wareham in 1974, and worked as a secretary for the board of health for the Town of Wareham. Eleanor has been a resident of Gabriel House in Fall River since July 2024.
Eleanor was known for her warm smile and unwavering dedication to her family and the Lord. She was a devoted Catholic whose faith shone brightly. She brought joy to all who knew her and was loved dearly by those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her children, Theresa Leuvelink of Fall River, David Dixon of Wareham and Paul Dixon of E. Wareham; her brothers, John H. Doucette, Jr. of St. Mary's, KS, Donna H. Flanagan of Sanford, ME, and Dennis Doucette of Londonderry, NH. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and numerous great and great, great grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by her sons, the late Kenneth Dixon and John Dixon, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at St. Patrick's Church, 94 High St., Wareham at 10:00 AM. Please go directly to church. Interment will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours have been omitted.
