Boating to a Wickets wonderland

The infamous island in Onset Bay will look a bit more in the holiday spirit as Christmas fast approaches.

The Onset Bay Center will be holding Wickets Wonderland from Monday, Dec. 15 to Wednesday Dec.17 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

Guests are invited to the center to take a boat trip to Wickers island to enjoy fireside treats, hot chocolate, and the ambiance of the island on a cold winter evening. Get cozy with family, friends and fellow community members as the center celebrates the winter solstice and holiday season

The center asks guests to register in advance at savebuzzardsbay.org for a time slot to leave Onset Pier. Trips will be leaving from the Onset Pier and back every 20 to 30 minutes and participants can expect to spend about 30 to 60 minutes on the island and may return when they choose.

This activity is open to all. It is advised to bring a blanket or chair if you'd like for sitting atop the island. Pathways will be lit by lantern and holiday lights, but please bring your own flashlights to help you see after sunset.
