Wareham Fire District pushes meeting, election to June
The Wareham Fire District Annual Meeting has been recessed to June 10, and the District Election has been postponed to June 20.
The meeting was originally scheduled for April 13, and was first recessed to May 12 due to safety risks posed by the coronavirus.
On Friday May 1, the Fire District Clerk Wendy Lemieux recessed the meeting a second time to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10 at the Wareham High School auditorium. The meeting has a quorum of 50 people.
The district election was originally scheduled for April 18, but the Prudential Committee voted to postpone it to June 20.
Voters will elect officers to the Wareham Fire District. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Water Department office, 2550 Cranberry Highway.
