Wareham Police helps seize suspected fentanyl, cocaine and more

Wareham Police aided in the arrest of a Marion man and seized large quantities of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, various pills, drug related paraphernalia, and over $65,000.

Dylan McCoog, 25, of Marion was arrested Tuesday, April 29 in a joint investigation consisting of Wareham Police Criminal Investigation Division, the Marion Police Department and the Plymouth Police Department K-9 unit and the Plymouth County Sheriff K-9 unit.

The police departments search McCoog’s house and car during the investigation and he is being charged with; trafficking fentanyl, three counts of possession with intent to distribute class b subsequent offense, possession with intent to distribute class a subsequent offense, disorderly conduct, and assault and battery on a police officer.

McCoog was arraigned at the Wareham Fourth 4th District Court, and is currently being held on $20,000 cash bail.

Wareham Police Chief Walter Correia Jr. applauded the collaborative effort between the multiple agencies involved in the investigation for taking potential lethal drugs off the streets.
