Thomas Hemingway died after a brief illness on August 11 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

He was born in Wareham, MA on February 25, 1953, son of the late Elizabeth (Scully) and Vincent Hemingway. He attended Providence College and worked for the Massachusetts RMV until his retirement in 2016. An avid reader and collector of antiques, he could always be found devouring a new novel or among his many treasures.

Tom is survived by his son Kyle and his husband Patrick. Also, his former wife Gail; sisters Barbara, Elizabeth, and Maureen; sisters-in-law Cheryle and Christina; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Christopher, Vincent, and Peter Hemingway.

A celebration of life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
