The town has demolished a two story home on the corner of Viking Drive and Marion Road after purchasing the property following approval at the Special Town Meeting in January 2025.
The home, located at 80 Marion Road, sat next to Town Hall and came tumbling down by way of Wareham Municipal Maintenance Friday, Oct. 24. The current future for the property is unknown at this time.
Voters approved $600,000 from community preservation funds to purchase the property that Town Administrator Derek Sullivan described as the “gap in the teeth of town.”
