Man involved in Wareham road rage incident allegedly wielding ax apprehended

The ax being carried by a police officer.
A man was apprehended after allegedly assaulting a woman at a Route 195 East Wareham rest stop on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The incidident occurred early Saturday morning, and the man was apparently wielding an ax. The vehicle and the ax were found at Swifts Beach.
State police have not responded to request for comment at this time.
