Elaine Goodale and Ohíye’Sa, Dr. Charles Alexander Eastman's, story of interracial marriage in the late 19th century can be heard close to home.
Author Julie Dobrow will virtually discuss her new book, "Love and Loss After Wounded Knee: A Biography of an Extraordinary Interracial Marriage," Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Dobrow is Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and a professor at Tufts University and will discuss the couples marriage that started with a shared vision to work on behalf of Indians. Their marriage faced many struggles, including personal tragedies, financial burdens and extreme prejudice.
