Donald Scott Lovell, 67
CARVER – Donald Scott Lovell, 67, of Carver formerly of Wareham, died Saturday, January 10, 2026 at his home. He was previously married to Rosario (Amador) Lovell for 46 years.
Born in Wareham, he was the son of the late Copley S. & Betty J. (Helmholtz) Lovell. Donald was a truck driver for Dennis K. Burke and J.P. Noonan and then owned and operated The Busted Knuckle garage, a life-long dream, from 2007 to 2023.
Donald was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served with the Seabees. He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed deer hunting, ice fishing, and riding his Harley-Davidson. A natural tinkerer, he delighted in inventing and building things to make everyday life easier. He was also a former member of Faunce Memorial Union Church in Plymouth, where he once served as a Sunday school teacher.
Above all, Donald was known for his generosity and willingness to help others purely out of the goodness of his heart.
He is survived by his daughter, Rosario Maria Lovell of E. Wareham; his siblings, Donna Benson of Wareham, Eugene Charles Lovell of Plymouth, David Lovell of IA, Betty Lovell of Wareham, Rose Bourda of CO and Deborah Awadallah of AL; his granddaughter, Cassandra Orander-Lovell; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews along with several lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his son, the late Donald Joseph Lovell; his brothers, the late Copley Lovell and Raymond Lovell.
Donald loved spending time with his family and friends, along with his beloved dog, “Knuckles”.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 PM followed by a celebration of life at the Wareham/New Bedford Lodge of Elks, 2855 Cranberry Highway East Wareham at 4:00 PM.
