Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 5 of the State Zoning Act, MGL c.40A, that the Wareham Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 6:00 pm to discuss the following proposed amendment to the Wareham By-Laws:
ARTICLE– Allow Solar fields only in the Business Development Overlay District
To see if the Town will vote to limit large-scale ground-mounted solar installations to the BDOD in the Town Zoning By-laws.
ARTICLE – Put a moratorium on Accessory Dwelling Units [ADU]
To see if the Town will vote to put a one-year moratorium on ADU’s while the State proceeds to write regulations and guidance on the implementation of the Affordable Homes Act. Option to the next article.
ARTICLE – Enact an Accessory Dwelling Unit Bylaw
To see if the Town will vote to enact an ADU bylaw given the Act and draft regulations from the State. Option to the previous article.
