Meet the candidates: Three run for two seats on Select Board
A new election cycle has arrived in Wareham, and multiple seats across various committees are up for grabs including two select board seats.
Three candidates are vying for two available three-year terms on the Wareham Select Board as the Tuesday, May 5 town election approaches.
This year will have voters choose two candidates for two three-year terms on the Select Board following incumbents Judith Whiteside and Sarah Corbitts' terms ending. Whiteside was reelected in 2023, and Corbitt in 2024.
The candidates for the two three-year terms sat down with editor Brandy Muz to discuss why they are running, their goals and some of the hot button issues in town, including the redevelopment of Main Street.
The Wareham town election will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Precinct maps and other election information are available at wareham.gov.
