Janice E. Carney, 77

WAREHAM – Janice E. Carney, 77, of Wareham died Monday, March 30, 2026 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Richard F. Carney.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Agnes (Rose) Brackett. Janice was a long-time Wareham resident and worked in the banking industry for 40 years. She worked for Plymouth Savings Bank and Eastern Bank.

Janice enjoyed watching movies and shopping.

Janice is survived by her siblings, Judy Reilly of Wareham and James Brackett of Raynham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, the late Christine Bigelow and Cynthia McQuade.

A memorial service will be held on Wed., April 15, 2026 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Wareham.
