James M. Zardiackas, 79
WAREHAM – James M. Zardiackas, 79, of Wareham, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at home. He was the beloved husband of Anne P. (O’Brien) Zardiackas.
Born in Hanover, James was a graduate of Holbrook High School. He built a career as a computer specialist in the medical field, dedicating his work to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Nashoba Valley Medical Center. He was previously a longtime resident of Natick before moving to Wareham in 2011.
James was both mechanically talented with cars and technically skilled with computers. He was the proud owner of a 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe and enjoyed working on vehicles and attending classic car shows.
An avid sports fan, he faithfully followed the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics. He especially loved attending his daughters’ sports games during their childhood and made it a priority to be present for every game. He also enjoyed fishing and found his greatest joy in time spent with his grandchildren and beloved dogs.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughters, Alyssa M. Westermann and her husband Corey of Worcester, and Kristen A. Zardiackas of New Bedford; his siblings, Walter “Butch” Scribner of East Brookfield, MA, and Joan Adams of Texas; and his grandchildren, Henry and Bennett. He was predeceased by his brother, Lyle Zardiackas.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 PM. Burial will be private.
