Adeline Boys, 102
The family of Adeline Boys, with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life lived with grace and love, announces her peaceful passing at the age of 102 on April 2, 2026. Adeline left this world as she had lived in it — surrounded by her beloved family, at her cherished home, in the warm embrace of their love and care.
Born on June 7, 1923, in the vibrant town of New Bedford, Adeline was the cherished daughter of Jerry and Rose Perry. Her early life in New Bedford was filled with laughter and learning, and it was there that she cultivated her lifelong appreciation for nature and her tender affection for animals.
On July 16, 1945, Adeline married the love of her life, Robert Boys, in Delaware. Together they shared 46 blissful years, filled with joy, adventure, and unwavering companionship. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love. Adeline and Robert were blessed with seven children—Robert C. Boys, James Boys, Carol Capps, David Boys, Pamela Sylvia, and the late Paul Boys and Joanne Nye.
Her family was her pride, joy, and greatest achievement. Adeline’s legacy is carried forward by her surviving children and spans to 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her warmth, wisdom, and kindness. Her home was a haven of love, where each gathering was marked by her infectious laughter, a warm smile, and a gentle kiss on each cheek. Her family fondly remembers her as the steadfast matriarch whose devotion was the cornerstone of their lives.
Her hobbies were as nurturing as her spirit; she was an avid gardener whose green thumb transformed her backyard into a sanctuary of vibrant blooms and lush greenery. Adeline found serenity in bird watching, her eyes always tracing the graceful flight of the winged visitors that graced her garden. Her love for animals was boundless, and she extended her gentle care to every creature that crossed her path.
Adeline was predeceased by her devoted husband, Robert Boys, her son Paul Boys, and her daughter Joanne Nye. She now joins them in eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength.
