ONSET – Helen Martha (Kavanagh) Prunier, 88, of Onset, passed away on August 4, 2025, at Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility, Bourne. She was the wife of the late Allan Vincent Prunier who died last year. They were married for 64 years. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Grandpre) Kavanagh.

She was born in Lawrence and lived there for many years. She moved to Onset 25 years ago. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lawrence.

Mrs. Prunier was an avid quilter. She loved the ocean and spending time at the beach. She also loved her Irish heritage, listening to music, cooking and baking all things Irish.

Survivors include her children, David Allan Prunier of Derry, NH, Dawn Marie Prunier of Onset, and Mark Vincent Prunier of North Reading; 2 sisters, Peg Branchaud of Lawrence and Alice Yelle of Methuen; 3 grandchildren, Sherri, Matthew and Melissa; 4 great grandchildren, Dylan, Emily, Leah, and Wesley; her former daughter-in-law, Rose Prunier of Derry, NH. She was the sister of the late Mary Wilkinson and Thomas Kavanagh, Jr.

Her services are being held privately.
