Carole Regina (Shooshan) Jensen, 88

Carole Regina (Shooshan) Jensen, 88 years old, formerly of Onset and Wareham, transitioned from this life on December 22, 2024, in Austin, Texas. 

Carole was born on November 3, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts to Kazar “Ky” Shooshan and Elna (Quist) Shooshan; Carole was the second oldest of five children.  She attended Wareham High School (Class of 1954); after graduating, she attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska.  While there, she met and married her husband, Dr. Wilmer “Red” Jensen.  Carole graduated from the University of Missouri – Kansas City with a BA in Political Science/History and a minor in German.  Carole served on the school board for Braymer C-4 Schools (Missouri) and the Carroll County Planning and Zoning Commission (Missouri). 

She enjoyed needlework, picking berries, reading, travel and spending time with her family, particularly her grandson, Wyatt. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother (Michael Shooshan) and a sister (Nancy Shooshan). 

She is survived by her daughter Eva (Jensen) Martinez (Alonzo) and grandson (Wyatt “Little Bird” Martinez) of Austin, Texas as well as her brothers Kazar Richard “Dick” Shooshan (Carol) of Corpus Christi, TX, and Robert Edwin “Bob” Shooshan (Mary) of Onset, MA.  She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as friends who love her deeply. 

Carole fought the good fight and will be missed forever; she was a great mom, grandmother, sister, and friend. 

A memorial service will be held in mid-2025 in Onset.
