Ballot box to be locked overnight

The ballot box outside Town Hall will be locked overnight due to security concerns. Ballots can be dropped in the box between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., now through Election Day.

Town Clerk Michele Bissonnette explained that the boxes would be secured because of warnings from the state.

“The state notified us of possible tampering so the police are adding patrols and the box will be locked at night so no ballots get harmed,” she said. “Precautionary measures to ensure every ballot will count.”
