Join the Wareham Twinning Committee to hear about their trip to Wareham, U.K. Thursday, June 19 at 7 p.m. at 495 Main Street.

The group recently got back from a visit to Wareham across the pond and the meeting will also discuss plans to host a group of visitors from the U.K. in 2026.

In order to support next year’s visitors, the Wareham-New Bedford Elks Lodge donated $1,000 to help kickstart funding for the Wareham Twinning Committee.

“Twinning” is a cultural exchange program with Wareham’s sister town Wareham UK, sharing common interests and developing friendships from “across the pond.” Members of Twinning rotate visits and/or host visitors to each others’ countries in a two-year cycle.

Interested Wareham residents are invited to attend.
