April showers bring May events at the Wareham Council on Aging

The Wareham Council on aging is bringing in spring with a variety of events as the weather gets warmer. 

Garden therapy is back with the Wareham Garden Club Friday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. in room 428. Space is limited for the creative class and those interested must sign up in advance.

Get a chance to get moving on Friday, May 9 in the community gym at 11:30 a.m. with Executive Director of  MUSICdance.com, Rhondae Drafts. The class offers a travel through time with hip hop and R&B music. 

Want to serve up something special on a beautiful plate? For $6, join crafting with Donna Thursday, May 22  at 10:00 a.m. in the Cranberry Cafe. The design on the plate will be from paper napkins provided but participants can bring their own.

Not your grandma's bingo — singo is offered Tuesday, May 6 and May 27 at 12:30 p.m. in the gym. Replacing the numbers on bingo boards with songs, the free event offers prizes and fun. 

Defy gravity with a streaming of "Wicked" Thursday, May 29 at 10 a.m. in the movie lounge. Those interested in attending must bring their own beverages but snacks are provided. Space is limited and a second showing will be scheduled if needed. Registration required.

Celebrate dad with a fathers day breakfast Wednesday, June 2 at 10:30 a.m. Tickets go on sale May 14 for $10 and are limited to four per person.
