Wareham youth Soccer Club athletes and Wareham-New Bedford Elks members shot it out at the annual Soccer Shoot on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Players from the soccer club across various age groups won first, second and third place trophies. At the end of the tournament, they each received a free T-shirt and soccer ball.
The tournament took place at the soccer club’s fields on Charlotte Furnace Road.
The Elks have run the tournament with the soccer club for over 20 years, said Jim Callan, the Elks’ chairman of the Soccer Shoot Committee.
“The Elks have had a longstanding relationship with Wareham Youth Soccer, even hosting the league at their lodge for a fantastic banquet last fall,” said Barbara Morse of the Wareham-New Bedford Elks.
