Wareham native graduates from West Point

Cadet Lavina Anastacia Burman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Burman of Wareham, Massachusetts, will gradautae from the U.S. Military Academy Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Burman was a 2022 graduate from Bishop Stang High School. At West Point, she concentrated her studies in Engineering Psychology with Honors. The U.S. Military Academy at West Point is a four-year, co-educational, federal, liberal arts college located 50 miles north of New York City.  

Upon graduation, Burman was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army in the Field Artillery branch. She will report to Fort Hood, Texas, for her first assignment.
