Eight Wareham businesses -- including seven owned by women -- received Covid-19 Small Business Grants this week.

Cape Cod Cakes, A Touch of Grace Skin Care and Coastal Canine Daycare, all women-owned businesses, received $25,000 each.

Penelope’s of Greece, a jewelry store in Onset, received $20,000. Traci A. Lapanna of Stella Maris Yoga received $10,000, as did Debbies Images hair salon and Holtie Productions, a DJ.

Cranberry Cottage received $60,000 in funds.

“With the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic posing overwhelming challenges to so many local businesses, I am proud to have advocated for critical resources that will help preserve financial stability and position local businesses in the Southeastern region to play an important role in our economic recovery here in the Commonwealth,” said Senator Marc Pacheco.
