The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham has now reported 11 confirmed or probable coronavirus deaths.

According to Tim Brown, the Director of Marketing and Communications of Athena Health Care Systems, which owns Tremont in Wareham, “The Tremont has sadly reported 11 confirmed or probable COVID-19 positive residents deaths since this pandemic began. Our staff is devastated that patients in our care have contracted this virus, and our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who have succumbed to this insidious virus.”

Brown added that “we cannot thank our incredible team enough for all that they are doing on the front lines of this pandemic; as of May 28, 51 of our residents have recovered from COVID-19, with more expected in the days and weeks ahead.”

Based on the most recent Massachusetts Department of Public Health report published on Wednesday, May 27, Wareham Healthcare was listed as having less than ten confirmed cases, and zero deaths.

All American Assisted Living was also listed as having less than ten confirmed coronavirus cases. While the report lists information on the number of deaths at long term care facilities, it does not do so for assisted living residences.
