State Sen. Kelly Dooner announces reelection run
State Sen. Kelly Dooner has announced she will be rerunning for a seat in the Massachusetts Senate.
Dooner, a Republican, was first elected in the November 2024 election. She won the seat Democrat Marc Pacheco had held for 30 years after the former state senator chose not to run for reelection.
She previously served as a Taunton City Councilor, and currently represents Bristol and Plymouth counties — including Wareham.
“Serving as your State Senator over the past year has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life,” Dooner said in a social media post. “I am so appreciative for your continued support and would be honored to have your vote (again) and signature (again).”
Dooner must collect 300 signatures to appear on the 2026 ballot.
