Russell R Hodgkinson,70 of Wareham, passed away Saturday November 29th 2025 at home in Wareham. He was the husband of the late Janice L (Russell) Hodgkinson. He was born in Boston Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Robert Hodgkinson and Barbara (Durgin) Hodgkinson. He & his family moved to Wareham, where he met the love of his life Janice. Together for 18 years before they married October 14th 2003 they had 40 wonderful years together. He worked at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain for 30 years and retired in 2013. He had a one of a kind soul with a "Heart Of Gold".  He had a laugh that was so infectious & contagious you couldn't help but to laugh too!. He has given and received so much love from all he knew and loved. He also loved his dog Hunter & his cats that he had with his wife. He was a fan of Rock & Roll, the oldies and country music. He enjoyed Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, The Platters, The Temptations, Kenny Rogers & Randy Travis. He especially shared a common love with his wife for Alan Jackson. He also had a dedicated favorite song to his wife Sammie Kershaw's -She Don't Know She's Beautiful. During his marriage with the love of his life, they shared similar interest not only in music but their 2001 Dodge Ram Half Cab Truck they had bought together. Both Avid NFL fans, they also shared their love for the New England Patriots! Their love for their team was endless. They had everything you could possibly imagine!. Their truck was fully decked out with New England Patriots decals, & accessories inside & out. They also had light up Patriots figures, flags, mailbox, jackets, watches, wallets & so much more. He was a social butterfly he love his family & friends. He loved to spend time with them whenever he could. He also loved to go to church every Sunday. 

He is survived by his daughter Jodylynn Hodgkinson and her fiance Robert Carey of Plymouth, his son Robert Hodgkinson of Onset, daughter Melissa Patricelli of Canton, daughters Christina Valois and Shannon Kiro both of Florida & Russell Hodgkinson Jr. of North Carolina.

He is survived by his four sisters Luann Jesus, Kathleen Huard, Sharonlee Pimental & Helen Lima and reunited with his 2 brothers the late Robert Hodgkinson Jr. and William Hodgkinson.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandkids and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
