Renita J. (Barboza) Pina, 69
WAREHAM – Renita J. (Barboza) Pina, 69, of Wareham, died Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at N.E. Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA after a brief illness.
Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Joseph G. Gomes, Jr. and Dolores Barboza.
Renita graduated from Wareham High School, Northeast Broadcasting School and Cape Cod Community College. She also held a real estate license.
Renita’s biggest accomplishment was her children. They meant the world to her. She loved travelling, reading, writing and photography.
She leaves behind her sons, Jared Pina and his wife Ann, Michael Pina Jr., and Marcus Pina and his partner Rebecca Annabelle; her daughter, Chantelle Miranda; her grandchildren, Kimberly, Kayla, Robert, Alexandria, Sierra, Evelyessia, Ginuwynne, Tamiya, Jiovanni, Marcus II, Lincoln and Ryder. She is also survived by her siblings, Wendell Barboza, Shelly Barboza, Robert Barboza, Tina Barboza, Dawn Barboza and Andrea McLlvaine. Also surviving are many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, the late Jordan Pina, and her grandmother, the late Mary Barboza.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A prayer service will follow at 2:00 PM.
