Middle schoolers provide an evening of music
Band Director and music teacher Caitlin Francese presented the WMS Spring Concert on Thursday, March 26, which gave the packed auditrorium a celebration of student musical achievement.
The concert featured performances by the 5th, 6th, and 7th grade bands, as well as the jazz band and chorus. With dozens of family and friends in the audience, the evening had two performances and 600 attendees.
Approximately 120 students participated across all ensembles, representing three grade levels in both band and chorus. The concert highlighted the students’ hard work, dedication and growth throughout the school year.
Francese wrote that the students "enthusiasm and pride shined through in every piece."
The band program meets daily during the school day, while chorus and jazz band are offered as weekly after-school clubs. Together, these programs provide students with opportunities to explore and develop musical talents.
