Martin LeRoy Benoit, Sr., 82, of Wareham, died November 22, 2019, in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. He was the husband of Jean R. (Ruscio) Benoit and the son of the late Wilfred E. and Beatrice E. (Fuller) Benoit.

He was born in Brockton and lived in Wareham for many years.  He served in the National Guard.

Mr. Benoit worked as a property manager for South Shore Housing in Falmouth for many years before retiring.

He was a professional roller skater.

Survivors include his wife, Jean R. (Ruscio) Benoit of Wareham; his children, Adam Benoit of Falmouth, Melani Benoit of Chatham, Chrystal Benoit of New Bedford, Anthony Lynch of New Bedford,  Darin Lynch of Yarmouth, Chris Lynch of NH, Jerry Lynch of VT, Martin L. “Skip” Benoit, Jr. of Bourne, Scottie Benoit of PA and Michelle Benoit of Plainville; his stepchildren, Shannon MacInnis of Providence, RI and Jennifer Kelly of Middleboro; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

His services will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.  Arrangements are by the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
