Janice H. (Smith) Mirabito, 76

WAREHAM – Janice H. (Smith) Mirabito, 76, of Wareham, passed away on September 25, 2026, at Tobey Hospital. She was the wife of Richard T. Mirabito and the daughter of the late Herbert D. and Eleanor (Howland) Smith.

She was born in New Bedford and lived in Wareham for many years.  She graduated from Wareham High School, class of 1967 and later attended Cape Cod Community College.  She graduated from Bridgewater State University. 

Mrs. Mirabito worked as a secretary for Sippican Corporation/Lockheed Martin in Marion for several years before retiring. 

Survivors include her husband, Richard T. Mirabito; her daughter, Kristina J. Kelsch and her husband, Larry of Bourne; her twin sister, Joanne M. Young of Marion; and two granddaughters, Adrianna and Anya.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.  Her funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.  Burial will follow in Agawam Cemetery.
