The Wareham Garden Club has awarded three scholarships to Wareham students who will be studying biology or environmental science in college.

Each recipient was awarded $1,000.

Danielle Ansell, a graduate of Upper Cape, will be attending Westfield and studying environmental science. Kylie Decas, is a student at Connecticut College, with a major in government and a minor in environmental studies. Julianne Matthews is a Wareham High School grad who is headed to Providence College, majoring in biology. 

The club said that all the applicants demonstrated strong academic achievements and records of community service. 

The Wareham Garden Club is a non -profit, community development organization under the umbrella of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc. The Wareham Garden Club provides resources for other non-profit community organizations.
