Drug raids at two locations lead to arrest of Wareham man

Wareham Police Detectives arrested an East Wareham man on Monday afternoon, March 23, after raiding an apartment at The Retreat at Union Pond, and a residence at 2798 Cranberry Highway. 

During the raids, detectives confiscated  suspected cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, Suboxone, psilocybin mushrooms, and cash from 2798 Cranberry Highway. Detectives also described drug-related activity at the apartment complex.

Joshua Fernandes, 33, was arrested for drug possession, as well as possession with intent to distribute.

According to police, Fernandes has been arrested for drug-related offenses multiple times in the past.

Detectives obtained  search warrants for the raids after an investigation into drug sales. 

Police Chief John Walcek said, “our detectives worked quickly when they developed information about illegal narcotic sales in this apartment complex with many families and children.”
