The Buzzards Bay Coalition is issuing a last call to anyone interested in taking part in their 18th annual watershed bicycle ride.

There are still two weeks left to register for the ride on Sunday, Oct. 6 that gives cyclists the option to ride one of three different routes.

According to the Buzzards Bay Coalition, this "is not just a fun community event - it's a critical fundraiser for the protection and restoration of Buzzards Bay."

Riders will see the various beaches, cranberry bogs and other natural landscapes the South Coast has to offer with the 35-mile route beginning at Eastover Farm in Rochester; the 75-mile route beginning at the Horseneck Beach State Reservation in Westport; and the 100-mile route beginning in Sakonnet Point, Little Compton, RI. All routes go through Wareham and finish at Woods Hole in Falmouth.

There will be expert bike technicians and four water stops along the route for participants and riders not finished by 5 p.m. will be shuttled to Woods Hole.

Each rider is asked to raise at least $300 to help the Coalition fund scientific research, land protection projects, advocacy and outdoor exploration programs.

Registration is $65 and there will be a post ride celebration at the finish line which will feature lunch, food trucks, live music and beer.

To register visit www.savebuzzardsbay.org/ride and use code LASTCALL for $15 off registration from now through Oct. 3.
