Curtice Harrington Robbins, Jr., 87
WAREHAM – Curtice Harrington Robbins, Jr., 87, of Wareham, died Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Tobey Hospital.
Born in Wareham, he was the son of the late Doris J. (Horbert) and Curtice H. Robbins. Mr. Robbins attended Wareham High School and was a self-employed painter. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served from 1955 to 1958, with honors.
Curt was physically active and enjoyed playing and watching tennis. He also cherished family camping trips to the national seashore or New Hampshire when he was younger. In his later years, he stayed active by walking and riding his bicycle around town and visiting his daughter for horseback riding. Curt also loved motorcycles, both riding himself and when younger, watching his nephews’ race. He was especially proud of his time serving in the army and often talked about being stationed in Germany and in White Sands, New Mexico.
Survivors include his sister, Barbara Hathaway Rei of Wareham; his children, Trina Cavanaugh and her husband Scott of Marion, Philip Robbins and his wife Andrea of Rockport, Nancy Robbins of Searsmont, ME, Keith Robbins of Marietta, GA; his grandchildren, Michael, Alyssa, Kalyn, Nicholas, William, Isabella, Elyse and Sophie; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his grandson, the late Tyler Ayan, and his siblings, the late Wayne Robbins and Gloria Johnson.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Church, 94 High St., Wareham at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne with a reception at Vel’s following the burial.
