Check out local artist’s work at the Wareham Free Library
The Bourne-Wareham Art Association is back with another winter show which anyone interested can view at the Wareham Free Library until mid January.
Association member Trisha O’Neil said this winter’s show includes a wide variety of artwork from 10 area artists ranging from watercolor paintings to mixed media.
“Most of my paintings are from Onset but it varies across the artists, most of what is pictured is Wareham,” O’Neil said.
She added the association is currently in its 61st year of operation with around 50 total members. The exhibits not only help get local artists exposure, she said, but it also helps raise scholarship money.
“We try to give out one scholarship a year to a Wareham High School student for art,” she said.
Since joining the association in 2016, O’Neil said she feels as though the group “is definitely a community.”
“It’s nice to see how we’re all doing with art and what we’re getting into — it’s fun basically,” she said.
All pieces in the exhibit are available for purchase. Prices and contact info will be listed with each piece of artwork at the exhibit. The library is located at 59 Marion Road.
