The Wareham High School Vikings won 80-73 against the Georgetown Middle/High School Royals Saturday, March 14.
Dooner commented that the boys were very tall - as a tall person herself. Following their big state championship win, the Wareham Boys Basketball team got the chance to visit the Massachusetts State House thanks to State Representative Kelly Dooner.
The Vikings won 80-73 against the Georgetown Middle/High School Royals Saturday, March 14 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. This win comes after a successful regular season with a record of 15-5.
This marks the teams third state win in four years.
The boys got a tour of the State House, which houses the Massachusetts State Senate and House of Representatives and acts as the state's capitol during their time in Boston. Dooner gave kudos to the team.
"Congratulations boys, job well done bringing the trophy back home to Wareham," Dooner wrote in a social media post.
