Leslie W. "Bill" Pimental, 78
NORTH CAROLINA – Leslie W. "Bill" Pimental, 78, of Jacksonville, NC and Wareham, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Sharon L. (Hodgkinson) Pimental, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, Bill was the son of the late George W. and Kathrine V. (Houlsen) Pimental. He was raised in Carver, MA, and graduated from Plymouth-Carver High School before proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps. A dedicated veteran, Bill served for seven years, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. During his military career, he was honored with several medals, including the Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation.
After completing his service, Bill returned to Carver and later became the owner and operator of American Ornamental Iron in Wareham, where he was known for his craftsmanship and work ethic. In 1988, he relocated to Gibsonton, FL, where he founded Pimentals Enterprises. His metalwork was featured prominently at major NASCAR venues, including Daytona Motor Speedway, where he specialized in building custom staircases and railings.
Bill was deeply proud of his military service, his work, and most of all, his family. He will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and generous spirit.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; his son, Bill Pimental of Wareham; his siblings, Deborah Evans and Robert Pimental both of FL, Michael Pimental of NH and Steven Pimental of Carver; and his grandchildren, Matthew Pimental, Erica Pimental and Angela Hanscom.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wed., July 9, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 – 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10th at the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
