INVITATION FOR BID
SEALED BIDS for Class I Bituminous Concrete and Miscellaneous Paving (Laid in Place) to be used for Town Roads and Sidewalks on an as needed basis commencing July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, with renewal options for two additional one-year periods shall be received at the offices of the MUNICIPAL MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT, 95 Charge Pond Road, Wareham, MA 02571 until 2:00pm April 29, 2025. Bids must be made in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Class I Bituminous Concrete & Miscellaneous Paving (Laid in Place) April 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.”
MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Pavement Surfacing, for the project with an estimated value of $1,166,609.28 per fiscal year (based on FY26 Chapter 90 funding) will be required. Awarding Authority reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional 12-month options. Valuation for purposes of MassDOT Prequalification is based on first year times three (3) to arrive at an estimated value of all bid items. The estimated value provided in the Invitation to Bid is for one year. Vendors are expected to be able to provide their services over three (3) years at three (3) times the initial estimated value.

NOTIFICATION DATE: April 11, 2025
Public notice is hereby given of the waterways application by David Regan to construct and maintain a pier, and storage platform at 34 Briarwood Drive in the municipality of Wareham, in and over the waters of the Weweantic River. The proposed project has been determined to be water-dependent.
The Department will consider all written comments on this Waterways application received within 30 days subsequent to the “Notification Date”. Failure of any aggrieved person or group of ten citizens or more, with at least five of the ten residents residing in the municipality(s) in which the license or permitted activity is located, to submit written comments to the Waterways Regulation Program by the Public Comments Deadline will result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 310 CMR 9.13(4)(c).
