Registration now open for the annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride
Pedal to the sign up sheet as registration is now open for the 19th annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride.
The bike ride will take place Sunday, Oct. 5 and riders will pedal their way through farmland, villages, cranberry bogs and coastal country backroads to raise money for the coalition.
The ride has three distance options of 100, 77 or 41 miles and all three end at Woods Hole in Falmouth where riders are greeted with a celebration.
Along the route there will be several rest stops, a place to get lunch and mechanical support for people having issues with their bikes. A vehicle will travel the route offering assistance to cyclists who need help and cannot get to a rest stop.
A new stop has been added to the route this year to showcase one of the latest land purchases made by the coalition. The route will now stop at the Red Brick Farm in Mattapoisett instead of the East Over Farm in Rochester.
Registration is $65 with a $300 fundraising minimum. Anyone interested in registering should visit the link here.
