You're welcome for the show: Wareham Middle School performs "Moana Jr."
With the wind in their sails, the Middle School Drama club felt the calling of the sea in their March performances.
On March 12 and 13 the Wareham Middle School drama department put on "Moana Jr.," a play based off of the Disney movie "Moana."
30 middle school students began preparing for the show in November by memorizing lines and being a part of the play's production crew.
"We had two almost-sold-out shows, and this was our most successful show since before the COVID-19 pandemic," Drama Club Co-Advisor Janelle Brangwynne said. "We are both really proud of the hard work of all our cast members and are so pleased with their performances."
Seventh grader Ava Ambarik played the lead Moana, and fifth grader Joshua Mullarkey-Conery played Maui.
"I am incredibly proud of our Wareham Middle School Drama Club for delivering such an outstanding performance," Superintendent Matt D'Andrea said. "Their hard work, creativity, and teamwork truly shined on the stage. Thank you to Janelle Brangwynne and Jessica Hathaway, the dedicated advisors who guided our students every step of the way."
