At Tuesday night’s Board of Selectmen meeting, Alan Slavin said that the state has decided to bar water parks, including Water Wizz, from opening until Phase 4. 

At the very earliest, that would put the park’s opening date at July 27. Phase 3 could begin as early as July 6, and each phase will last for at least three weeks. 

Other activities barred until Phase 4 include festivals, road races, and concerts, and similar large gatherings. 

“My effort to try and assist Water Wizz with something financial or opening is basically null,” Slavin said. “There’s nothing the town can do for [the park]. It’s out of the town’s control.”
