Wareham boys basketball fights hard in state playoff loss

In the second round of the state tournament, the 17 seed Wareham Vikings boys basketball team came up just short against number 1 seed Albert D. Holland High School.
The game was played Tuesday, March 4 at the Madison Park gym in Boston. The Vikings were attempting to defend their back-to-back state championships but fell short by a score of 60 to 57.
The Vikings entered the final quarter down by 12 and after surmounting a strong comeback, the Vikings had a chance to tie the game in the final 10 seconds.
The team put up two shots in the final 10 seconds but neither one rattled home.
