Walkin’ on Wednesday

Put on some walking shoes and get outside with the Wareham Land Trust for a walk in the Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The hike will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and cover just under three miles with minimal stops. The land trust said participants can expect to get a workout in as opposed to a leisurely walk.

The trail is mostly flat but roots and rocks will be present.

Parking is available at the end of Stockton Shortcut Street at the Old Sacred Hearts Seminary. The land trust advises people the lot is not in the forest, but past a small lot and the entrance is where Great Neck Road meets Stockton Shortcut Street.

The event is free but registration is required. Register at warehamlandtrust.org.
