Verilife, a national marijuana dispensary company with a location on Main Street in Wareham, has raised $4,624 for Turning Point.

The donations came from Verilife’s “round up” program, which asks customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar and donate the spare change to a designated charity.

“When our customers heard we were supporting Turning Point,” said Verilife Vice President of Stores and Operations Shelley Stormo, “they opened up their hearts and their wallets. We are grateful for their generosity.”

“This donation from Verilife customers comes at a crucial time for those in need throughout our community,” said Chuck McCullough, president of the Turning Point Board of Directors. “This money will make a huge difference in the lives of fellow citizens across the area. It may be cold outside, but we can feel the warmth of the Verilife community.”

The donations will go to the cost of rent and heating oil for individuals and families in the Wareham area facing financial crisis.
