Vera (Urciuolo) Caporiccio, 103, of Watertown & Wareham. Passed away peacefully at her home on November 13, 2025. Age 103. Beloved wife of the late Attilio T. “Tillie” Caporiccio. Loving mother of Judy Caporiccio & her husband Joe Paolino of Wareham, James Caporiccio & his wife Faith of Wareham, and Robert Caporiccio & his wife Janice of Waltham. Loving grandmother of Nicole (Jeffrey) Bowe, Michelle (Glen) Pancioccio, Joseph (Caili) Paolino, III, Marc Caporiccio, Jenna (Eric) Foscaldi, Beth (Ryan) McCarthy, Jill (Daniel) Caporiccio, Katherine Caporiccio, Jane (Emelia) Caporiccio, and the late Michael Caporiccio. Dear sister of the late Joseph, Louis, Domenic, & Anthony “Muzzy” Urciuolo, Marie Capobianco, Constance Crisafulli, & Antoinette Polcari. Caring great-grandmother of Isabella & Juliana Foscaldi, Maria Caporiccio, J.J., Matthew, & Christopher Bowe, Ariela, Han Paolino, Vera Panciocco, Tracy, Etta, & Mateo Cledomin, Ziamara Caporiccio. Loving sister-in-law of Violet Urciuolo of Woburn. Also survived by Maria’s mother, Kia Paschal and many loving nieces & nephews.
Late member of Belmont Sons of Italy Lodge, Former Girl Scout Leader, and founder of Mount Trinity Bowling League. World War II Air Raid Warden.
A longtime manager at both Cappy’s Dairy Bar and Union Market Station in Watertown, she was known for her warm hospitality and dedication. She loved cooking Italian meals, watching classic films, and spending time with her family, always welcoming others into her home. Born in Boston’s North End and raised in Belmont, she carried with her a favorite saying: “Smile and the world smiles with you; cry and you cry alone.”
A visitation will be held on Monday Nov. 17, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM in the MacDonald Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church 212 Main St., Watertown at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.
